This blog post is coming fresh off the heels of both spring break and our second production pass. Nothing has changed in terms of workflow; we're all plugging away at the animation machine. Rightfully so at that, considering we have less than a month left (which is when our third production pass takes place on April 20th) to basically have our short completed as after the production pass, there's only two weeks left to finish out the semester and put any final touches on the film before the screening in May. It seems like a good deal of time, but it's not.

But I digress, as I've mentioned before, I've been animating and making shots look good so that the short is both enjoyable and the good to watch

Basil scratches offf "Finish Order" on her to do list

This animation actually took me way too long, the scratch line is a cube that I colored black to match the letters. The biggest issue was finding how to position the cube so that when Basil slides the pen across the paper the animation looks realistic. But I think I got it done; I'll get with the team on what they think, but for the most part, I think it looks good.
