The flower pot modeling saga continues. But, with a twist. Instead of making standard standing flower pots, I'm modeling flower pots that hang, I had some help learning how to go about modeling a rope and learning how make it appear as the pot is being affected by gravity. Using NURBS curves and creating a mesh out of it in Maya 2022 was actually how I made the ropes, but now conforming the curves and the shape of the rope to appear taut has been an uphill battle, but nothing I'm not enjoying doing. Similarly to the first few pots, these are not hero objects, but aesthetic set objects.

Hanging Pot 01
I was shown by a former student how to create the rope shape and they helped me to shape the rope around the pot
Still working on making it taut

Cube is for height reference

Hanging Pot 03
Pot has a holder
Looks like a toddler swing
Has the most potential to look the best in my opinion
